Baby poetry verse #2
Congratulations!
A new Mum and Dad,
A safe arrival,
You must be so glad.
Now it's all nappies,
And bottles galore!
There will be so little leisure-time
Like you had before.
But don't fret about that,
It's all a great pleasure,
So cherish your wee one,
For she's/he's such a treasure

Our new addition
To this family;
So glad you've arrived
Alright and safely.
Another boy
To add to the stable;
Keeping the family line
Long and able.
No name yet
Don't be blue;
I'd let them think about it
If I were you.
""
You look so tiny lying there
I can't believe you're here;
It's taken your Mom and Dad
Over quite a few years.
I've nagged and nagged
To be a grandma-ma;
Not sure Dad was keen
On the grandpa-pa.
We're so pleased to meet you
You look just like your Dad;
Anytime you want to stay
Just tell Mom she'll be glad.
Maggie-May
""
All cute and cuddly
A little bundle there;
Cosy in a blanket
Big enough to share.
Little eyes asleep
Fingers wrapped up in mittens;
I know when I finally see
That I will of course be smitten.
Maggie-May
A new little miracle born today
And she has joined your world;
She is as pretty as a picture
Your lives are now untwirled.
Never know what's going to happen
Up and down at sixes and sevens;
Eyes that need help to stay awake
Welcome Mom & Dad - to your little heaven.

Stuff memories are made of
All the hours, days and years;
Keep a record of the ups and downs
All the laughs and all the tears.
They will go very fast
Although at times feel slow;
You'll look back and remember when
As sure as the wind doth blow.
Where does it go
This thing we call time;
Disappears into thin air
Grab every minute as the years do chime.
**
Priceless Little Parts
These little hands will grow to be,
big and strong and helpful, you see.
These teeny-tiny little toes,
will carry this body that grows and grows.
This precious, sweet and radiant smile,
will help me go the extra mile.
.....And seep inside, a soul and heart,
Destined to be special from the start.
Sometimes you get discouraged,
because I am so small
And leave my little fingerprints
On furniture and walls.
But everyday I'm growing
And soon will be so tall
That all these little fingerprints
Will be difficult to recall.
So here's a little handprint
That you can put away
So you will know how my fingers looked
On this special day.

Baby Verses Poems
**
These babies have a smell of their own
Sometimes not too pleasant;
But sweet and talcy from their bath
There really is no time like the present.
**
They are a gift from God
Of that there is no doubt;
We are here to look after them
And show them what it's all about.
Each and every step
Is what they learn from us;
So do it well and keep it straight
And they'll do just fine with very little fuss.
**
Our grandson was born this morning
He is so very tiny;
He can almost fit in the palm of my hand
But he isn't very whiney.
Seeing as how he's turned up early
And not feeling very well;
The doctors have said with lots of love
He will turn out just swell!
Love from Grandma & Grandad!
**
A baby is a gift given from above;
A life for you to care for, to nurture and to love.
Twin Poems
What a surprise there's two
They never told us that;
It goes to show that technology
Really isn't all that.
One of you hid behind
Your sister or your brother;
Not sure which of you was first
Definitely one or the other.
So double the fun
And double the change;
Your lives are now upside down
Everything will be rearranged.
Maggie-May
""
I wasn't sure what color
Some stick to pink or blue;
I thought cream instead
It can be changed for you?
As long as you have
Everything you need;
I'm sure you'll be great
Very great indeed.
""
Sleepyheads and that's the Mom
Dads snoring in the back;
Driving round to get to sleep
Before you hit the sack.
I'd fit a gadget on the crib
I'm sure they've invented one;
That will rock all night
If you'll excuse the pun.

Christening/Naming Ceremony
Christening is a way
To join God's family;
For all the family to see
Parenting and integrity.
Choosing names for all eternity
Can be a tricky job;
The meanings seem to get
Fulfilled, a slob or snob.
Fashions come and go
That goes for names as well;
Popularity counts for some
But the decade you can tell.
Maggie-May
""
I held you so tightly in my arms
Traced your fingers that were gently curled
Through tears of joy, I whispered quietly
My beautiful godchild, welcome to the world.
""
Today, let's remember
God now has a new little member
We ask God to care for your child
And pray (Bobby) will have a smooth ride
And as (he) (she) travels along life's road
(He) (She) is never burdened with a heavy load
You are being blessed this day
Anointed with Christs life;
A brand new start from this very day
Protecting you from strife.
His footsteps you should follow
They'll lead you up to heaven;
Congratulations on this event
You will be forgiven.
You are a lovely baby
Beautiful, miraculous it's true;
We all love you very much
Today we will pray for you.

Get Well Card for Baby
You've had a hard time of it
You poor little thing;
Your Mommy and Daddy
Your praises do sing.
They've said how good you are
Indeed you're very brave;
The doctors are working hard too
So they can see you wave.
You'll soon be home I expect
Cuddled up in your new crib;
With teddy bears galore
Drinking bottles with a bib.
Maggie-May
""
Who would have guessed
By looking at you;
That you had one kidney
And not two.
That makes you special
But you'll be just fine;
if I'm a match
You can have one of mine.

You came out before your time
Too nosey would be my guess;
Just like your Mom and your Dad
But all our lives you will bless.
As soon as you are able
The docs will send you home;
Then you'll wish you were back there
We just won't leave you alone.
Love from Grandma & Grandad.
Maggie-May
We've waited such a long a long time to see
Your eyes looking back at us;
We're not sure you're focussed yet
Or that you realise all the fuss.
Our whole life's turned upside down ever
Since that day at quarter to three;
We're new at this game you might have guessed
We love you though your mommy and me.
Today we've finally chosen for you
The name to take you through every day;
First it was Megan and then Daisy Leigh
Then you came along and it's Jon now-what do you say!
Maggie-May
""
All the families are here
They look awfully smart;
They've come to say Hello
To our new little work of art.
You are a miracle as we all are
We welcome you to the clan;
Your name from here on in
Will be our little Joanne
""
The Godparents are here for you
When we're just not around;
You'll want to go to them when you get
Fed up with us we'll be bound.
They've promised to care for you
To show you right from wrong;
To lead you into adulthood
For you to grow up strong.
So Daniel your name will be
Taken from the Bible true;
As all of us promise to take
Very good care of you.

Naming a Baby Verses Poems
""
""
A name can mean so much
From a baby to a man;
It needs to be for a boy
And last a whole lifespan.
Great thought has gone into this
Many books written on this note;
The meanings of great virtues
This is what some of them wrote.We decided on Jon as God is Gracious
And Kenneth is so handsome;
We hope you like our selection
As you'll cost a Kings ransom.
Maggie-May
Ethan behold is firm and strong
With William full of desire;
Andrew a full blown warrior
Aiden was born of fire.
""
Some of the names we've used since you were born
Are not appropriate at all;
In our exhausted moments usually around 3a.m.
A few names you were called.
Everyone has been full of ideas
So seriously we have been deep in thought;
Spending time poring over books
Giving serious study and time we ought.
But in the end after much debate
A film stars name we found:
So Jodie is the name for you
We like the name , we like the sound.
